The Argentina Football Association has reduced Carlos Tévez’s 2 match ban to 1, allowing the striker to be available for the June 17th clash against rivals Brazil for WC qualifying. Tévez originally received the ban after earning a straight red card during Argentina’s 2-1 loss to Colombia last November. As a result of the reduction, Tévez will only miss the June 14th qualifier against Ecuador. … In MLS news, the Kansas City Wizards resigned former Boca Juniors and Racing Club midfielder Carlos Marinelli to a new deal. Marinelli joined the Wizards last April and went on to play in 26 matches, scoring 1 goal and adding 5 assists. … D.C. United are looking to aquire Franco Niell on loan from Arsenal de Sarandí. The Washington club is also negotiating with 2006 MLS MVP Christian Gomez in hopes of seeing him remain, and there are reports that the team is looking to aquire defender Gonzalo Peralta from second division club Almirante Brown. … Finally, the rumors of Claudio López joining MLS from current home Racing Club are close to becoming a reality. “El Piojo” reportedly said there was a 90% chance of him coming to the U.S, this after he turned down an offer to join Chilean side Universidad Católica.

Also reports say Milan are after Jonathan Maidana. He is very talented but I’m not sure if he is ready to play in Serie A.
