(Not So) Grown Up?
![]()
It appears the honeymoon between Ever Banega and his new employers is over.
I didn’t pay much attention to Golazo’s post yesterday about a newly surfaced sex tape starring young Banega in which the player reportedly shows his genitals, but apparently his new club Valencia are not too pleased about the video going public and are finding it a little hard to swallow. (Sorry, couldn’t resist.)
Now, a report from Spanish paper SPORT is claiming that the club have decided to place bodyguards around their new €18 million investment at all times in an effort to keep him out of trouble. The report also mentioned that Valencia were concerned about seeing similar incidents that took place last summer during the FIFA U-20 World Cup, when the Argentine squad trashed their hotel room. No word on how long Valencia plan to keep the player on such a short leash, but expect the “escort” to last for a few months.
Doesn’t this seem a bit harsh? I mean, sex tapes hardly qualify as scandals these days. At this point, who doesn’t have one? Regardless, this is NOT the best way to introduce yourself to your new owners.

Here is a list of players who arre going to be world class in a few years:
————–Players Playing Aboard
Miguel Tevez- The 17 year old, has just joined Man Utd, Even though his brother in a forward. This tevez plays in the midfield and is considered one of the best U-20 midfielders in Argentina.
Brian Sarmiento- The 17 year old had a roller coaster career so far. From what his old club in Argentina wanted to pay him 300 euros a month. And Sarmiento then retired at 16 to stop. Then he came back and signed with Racing in Spain, but his old club refused and brought this case to fifa. Fifa favored Brain old club so he couldnt play. This is why he couldn’t play for the U-17 over the summer.
Lucas Trecarichi- The 16 year old is said to be the “new messi” he is probably the one who has the best shot to be the next messi. He plays for Sevilla Altetico (Sevilla Resevres) in Spains Segunda.
Hernán Villafañe- The 19 year old defender who plays for Real Madrid B. Boca loaned him out a year ago. When he was at boca he started 4 games. In the summer he will be bought and become a 1st team player.
Juan Forlín- Is another 19 year old defender loaned out from boca. He also did really good in Madrid B but most likely he will return to Boca jr and not be bought out.
Federico Laurito- is a 17 year old center forward and he is hands down the greatest u-20 talent playing in Itlay he plays for Udinese. Look what fifa said about him in the U-17 world cup, “Federico Laurito is, without question, the standout member of the Argentina side. However, he was limited to just one game at the Sudamericano tournament after rupturing the cruciate ligament in his right knee, an injury that will almost certainly rule him out of the finals in Korea. His natural replacement is Eduardo Salvio, who deputised admirably for the stricken Laurito in Ecuador. The Lanus striker showed skill, speed and plenty of bravery, emerging as one of Argentina’s most dangerous players and their joint top-scorer at the tournament with three goals. “I’m happy with the goals, but they’re a mere detail. What really matters is achieving our objective, and we hope to do that in Korea,” he says.” -FIFA.com
Matias Chiacchio- Our only U-20 talent in France, he plays for Lyon Reverse and the 19 year old is there most vaulable player. Playing as a foward and standing at 6 foot 1 inch can he be our furture number 9?
Franco Di Santo- I love this kid he is as tall as petter crouch and has the ball handling skills as a drogba. He just turn 18 and Chelsea sign him and this is prefect for him because with the Africas Cup. I think he can beat out Svekenko( however you spell it) for a starting spot and become a really vaulablr player for Chelsea.
Sergio Romero- Our U-20 world cup champion goalkepper. He isn’t getting any playing time with AZ Alkmaar. Boy Waterman (what a weird name) has been amazing but Sergio Romero is barely 20 years old. This Boy waterman is probably on his way to a European Giant and Sergio Romero will get his playing time. Remember Pato the goalie made his debut when he was 25. So there a lot of time with him.
Nicolas Mazzola- our number 9 for the U-17 is set to join Tevezs’ old club west ham for 5 years he can be a dark horse in a few years. Its going to be interserting to see where this can take him. He will tun 18 later this month.
Emiliano Insua- Just turn 19 3 days ago. He plays for Liverpool. He made his debut last year. Theres talk that he might be loaned out which won’t be a bad idea. He was a part of the U-20 World cup Champion team.
Gerardo Bruna- 16 years old and is a key member of the liverpool reverses.
He was bought from Real Madrid over the summer. He is real God given talent, he plays in the midifield. He said to control the midfield like how Zidane did which is unbelievable for a 16 year old.
Oscar Trejo - Man I love this guy 19 year old midfielder/forward from Mallorca. He played the whole game against Barcelona and many people said he was the best player on the field. He isn’t like messi slippery quick. He is 6 foot 2 inches. He left Boca to Mallorca because he wasn’t playing now he is a regulaler starter for Mallorca, not bad for someone who didnt’ makle it into the under 20 squad.
Thats all the U-20 players in Europe I can think of right now. Lets not forget the U-20 players who are regulalers for ther clubs like Messi Aguero Fazio Tissone Grimi Higuain Gago Garay and now Banega. I know there are a lot more U-17 and U-20 players in Europe I probably just sratch the surface on it because every team in Europe wants to snatch tne “new messi” or the “new maradona”
And lets not forget all these are the players playing aboard!!!!!
Tomorrow I’ll do the players that are in Argentina.

I haven’t read anything yet beyond what’s already been mentioned here, J-Argie. Can’t wait for league action this weekend.
Does anyone think Palacio will make a move to Europe in January or does a summer move seem more likely?

Thanks for bringing up all those names, Golazo. A few of those players I had completely forgotten about.

Any word on Mauro Zárate? You know, the guy playing in the Qatar. He only signed a 2 year deal with Al Sadd, I think.

I heard he is doing really bad in Qatar and is probably on his way back to argentina which is pobably best for him its deffiantley better then staying in Qatar.

Thanks Golazo for such a thorough report on our young talent.
-a, about Palacio, I don’t think he wants to go yet.
Boca has a tremendous team this year and Palacio didn’t have his best year in 2007.
He has to go back to that level when he was scoring continuously.
Lastly, another player I wanted to mention who is not that young (26), but exploded last year and I hope he becomes a star, is Germán Denis (Independiente). He’s got the type of power-game we all want in a striker. Born to score, like Bati.
Saludos

The sex tape, U-20 trashing their rooms, starting a world cup brawl with Germany after their loss ……Et cetera ………Et cetera
These humiliations must end for such a great football nation.
Is it time for a Dr. Phil?
Regards

Kids will be kids anyone who had a teenager that has Myspace knows what dunb decisions they can make. having said that I dont think it is a bad idea to have bodyguards with him for a few months. What would you do if you were 19 rich and could do about anything youi wanted ? Not everyone is a Messi :). I also agree that all this yoiung talent is great and i am excited but lets not forget about the late bloomers. I know for myself that I was not very good at 18 but by 25 had overtaking many players that were much better than me at 18. It is all about determintation and of course some go through puburty later and are not done growning until 21 or so. I really hope youi are right about Di Santo getting some playing time I am worried that he will just ride the pine.

Good News.
Tevez free to face Brazil after ban reduction
BUENOS AIRES, Jan 10 (Reuters) - Argentina striker Carlos Tevez can play against Brazil in June’s World Cup qualifier after his international ban was cut from two matches to one.

The decision was announced by the Argentina Football Association (AFA) on its website.
Tevez was banned after being sent off against Colombia in November’s match in Bogota for petulantly kicking Ruben Dario Bustos in an off-the-ball incident. Colombia won 2-1.
The AFA said world soccer’s governing body FIFA had halved the ban following an appeal and Tevez will only have to sit out the World Cup qualifier at home to Ecuador on June 14.
Argentina visit Brazil three days later.
Manchester United striker Tevez’s recent Argentina performances have been disappointing, leading to speculation that coach Alfio Basile could favour Hernan Crespo or Sergio Aguero to partner Lionel Messi in the team’s next games.
Argentina are second in the South American group with nine points from three games, one behind leaders Paraguay.

what a difference. pato is poised to become the best player in the world in the future and with his young age he shows bums like banega how a world class star ought to behave. pato in milan is the next one to rule and extend brasilian domination. don’t cry for me argentina.
