Zinedine Zidane is the greatest soccer player of all time and this is coming from an Argentine. I get personally offended if someone sas something negative about him.

Atletico Madrid monitoring Independiente whiz Pato
tribalfooball.com - January 17, 2008

Atletico Madrid are monitoring Independiente starlet Patricio 'Pato' Rodriguez.

The 17 year-old has been likened to Atletico star Sergio Aguero and was outstanding for Independiente in a friendly on the weekend against Boca Juniors.

Atletico have been following Pato's progress and will move quickly for the youngster should he make an impact in the Argentine championship this season.

The youngster said: "I'm proud that they compare me with him, but El Kun is a genius... I've hardly begun to take my first steps and I know that I need to learn a lot. I want to continue like this, slowly, calmly... The truth is I could not have hoped that so many things could happen for me in such a short time."

Real Madrid chief Pedja warns Atletico over Aguero interest
tribalfooball.com - January 17, 2008

Real Madrid sports chief Pedja Mijatovic has stoked the fires ahead of their derby with Atletico by admitting Sergio Aguero could be a future transfer target.
Mijatovic declared: "He is a great soccer player, a young person, with a big future. With the experience he's gained, he has responded very well.

"He would be an objective not only of Real Madrid, but of many important teams. But he already belongs to an important team, which we sometimes forget."

Good post mfgt2 your passion for the game is evident. Keep posting.

Christian I thought you deleted one of my posts and that was why I referenced censorship. I support my country for the very same reason you do the States.

Albo you don’t come across as a very likeable. Also I want to be crystal clear on a couple of points you brought up.

1. I post using John ---not Ali or Ken
2. I do post on the French blog among others. However what I state there about ZZ is not trash talking. I take to task the apologists for him and his shameful attack on Materazzi.

Saludos …………..and try smiling and laughing once in awhile…..lifes to short.

Argentinian teenager Franco Di Santo is set for a move to Chelsea.

A £3.4million deal with Chilean club Audax Italiano has yet to be confirmed but the 18-year-old is already looking forward to training with his heroes.

Di Santo, who holds an Italian passport, has shone in Argentina's junior teams and said: "It is going to be a dream to be next to Didier Drogba, Frank Lampard, Shaun Wright-Phillips, Andriy Shevchenko and Nicolas Anelka.

"I am going to watch how they play and if I am called on to be part of the team, I will give my maximum and do what I do best. I will fulfil whatever the manager Avram Grant requests of me.

"To be changing next to Drogba will be something out of another world."

The troll is making this blog too personal.
And the truth is that I'm not interested in fake nationalisms.
Here's hoping we can go back to our argy football without the extra-curricular stuff.
Christian, if you go to the french blog, for instance, you'll find the same troll we have here, John (ex Ali), trash-talking about Zidane, the same way he does here with argy players.
Everything about him is negative, always against the stream.
If we talk about Inter, he talks about Milan.
If we talk about Messi, he talks about Kaka.
Argentina, Brazil.
Black, white.
Tall, short.
It's never ending.
It's too bad we can't get rid of him for use of negative content.
Allez...
Regards...
Whatever...

Oh, and John, I don't mind your question, I think though that the way you worded your question gave the impression that you were taking the piss.

In my case, I would root for the U.S. Not because of loyalty or patriotism, but because I believe in the future of the sport in this country and want to support it. Club level there is no such argument: I am a River Plate fan, no questions asked. I may live in Chicago, but with all due respect, I have no time for the Fire.

What makes it weird for me is that I was born in the US to a Guatemalan father and Puerto Rican mother AND lived in Argentina twice. Suffice it to say, my Spanish is quite unique.
