Maxi...
Ayala was brilliant yesterday. His goal celebration said it all...he was on his knees after the match, but another image flashed in my mind-his helpless body on that ground during the copa america final, after his self goal. Sad for such a great player that the chain of events to the end of his career are not befitting a player of his class.

Zaragoza looked like a rejuvenated team...Milio worked his socks out and again that injury seemed to be troubling him...Aimar still looks a bit uncertain, but there was few moments of genious one touch intricate movements he orchestrated. But most of the time he was looking for balls in vein. Sergio García was their best player..he like milito worked very hard and was brilliant. Olivera was a total waste!

Crespo looks finished, harsh but true. Cruz is a class forward but gets butterflies everytime he plays for the NT. Tevez plays in Messi's position (hence no Tevez, even if he might be the best choice to start against teams like Italy and Germany because of his workrate). Denis and Palacio haven't converted the small chances they've gotten, neither has Milito.
Looks like it's going to be between Cavenaghi, Lopez and Agüero for the number 9. I'd prefer Cavenaghi: great workrate and link up play and is a presence in the box.

Yes, I know ALBO. You didn't answer my question :) I would hate to see Palacio, Aguero or Cavenaghi on the bench, preparing the oranges for Tevez.

AKK,
I think Abramovitch is spending the billions he has stolen to Russia, where people are dying because of famine, in order to realize his dream to win the Champions league with Chelsea, a team built like in a videogame.
Abramovitch belongs to the category of men who is killing this sport for many reasons (with the illegal help of MSI). Pray futbol gods Messi doesn't go there.

I wonder what kind of future has Messi at Barca. This club has the 4-3-3 culture where Messi will always be a right winger. Messi is more than this.

PEOPLE,
In Basile's 4-3-1-2, Riquelme & Messi are obviously starters. What do you think about the fact that there is ONLY one SINGLE spot between Tevez, Aguero, Palacio, Cavenaghi, Lisandro? It could also mean that only 3 of them would go the WC.

I hope Boca-River takes place totally free of violence.
It is such a great event to watch.
May all fans (and players) keep their cool, win or lose.
Peace and good football.
