The storylines at play tonight are mouth watering: Messi vs Ronaldo. Premier League vs La Liga. The experience of Ferguson against the youth of Guardiola. The big-money United versus the member-owned Barca. And, in some circles at least, anti-football versus the beautiful (certainly not my opinion).

Will Manchester United become the first team to win back-to-back titles since the creation of the Champions League? Will Barcelona cap off their season by winning a historic treble? Will Tevez play his last game ever in a United shirt? And who will take the title of world’s greatest player, Messi or Ronaldo?

After a poor group stage, football fans were rewarded a proper cup draw, with some exciting matchups between Europe’s top clubs being played out today and Wednesday, and as always, Argentina will be well represented.

With Chelsea, Inter Milan, Barcelona, and Liverpool all rolling to wins to start off their campaigns, it was Atlético Madrid who in my opinion shined brightest, with an on-fire Sergio Aguero leading the team with two goals to a 3-0 romp over PSV Eindhoven. And there was one bonafide upset with relative unknowns CFR Cluj beating AS Roma 2-1.

So with that in mind, I want to ask everyone here how you want this blog to approach this massive summer. This space has always been dictated by those who come here to read or leave comments, and I want you to choose how best to use this site to follow the games.

So what would people prefer – more original content from the writers (there are three of us technically), or more along the lines of what we do now, essentially fewer posts with more space for discussion in the comments? Live-blogging? More discussion on the podcast?

I do have one person who will be attending the game in New York against the USMNT who will act as a correspondent and give his personal thoughts (yes, I ripped it off from Ives’ blog). I’m still hoping to be in San Diego in time for the friendly against Mexico, so if anyone plans on going please let me know. Also, a few of you have mentioned about your own personal Argentina sites and Facebook groups – please post URL’s so I can keep a list.

While I wait to hear from everyone, please check out my post on The Offside main page on the Copa Libertadores, where I try ever so subtlety to suggest that it beats the boring-ass Champions League any day of the week.
