The squad list is alright, it’s a mistake to base a team around certain players, what do you do if that player gets injured, you’re in deep crap then, we need to have versatility. I know Maradona doesn’t have too much time, but he needs to instill a winners mentality in the players, no matter who is playing they need to play with each other for each other for Argentina.
It’s good he’s going to be at the game tonight, the u20 should be inspired in their game against Ecuador, we need to win.

Maradona has a soft spot for Tevez. I think if we see a game where Maradona starts with Messi – Riquelme – as attacking midfielders, and Aguero and #9 upfront I’ll be satisfied.

Not surprising to see Maradona calling Napoli players, even if they are excellent. There is some nervosity between Denis and his italian coach, so he is often used as Zalayeta’s sub.

Even with amazing stats in a league where teams are afraid to lose and defend with 10 men, Cavenaghi seems to have less credit than subs in top leagues. It’s a bit cruel for him. Does he need to leave his club in order to be more considered? It’s a bit stupid.

For Higuain, it’s different. There is no place for another second forward when you already have Messi, Aguero, Lavezzi in the team. The Higuain/Tevez debate is perfectly understandable. For 2 months, one has been an efficient starter, whereas the other has sat on the bench most of the time.

Gonzalo is injured. Coloccini isn’t performing well.
Maradona’s lists aren’t different than Basile’s ones. I think we might see the difference on the field.

I would have liked to see Higuain and Cavenaghi. But I don’t know how Maradona is going to test all these forwards. Denis hasn’t been starting regularly so I don’t why he’s up there. Lisandro has scored 5 goals in 15 games, don’t know why he’s up there. Higuain, Cavenaghi, Milito have all be ridiculously prolific especially Cavenaghi and Milito.
