I am a big argentina fan. With the talent that we have, it has obviously proven too hard for us to settle on a formation. The times we used 5-3-2, it worked well. I think though, that we can modify it a bit in attack and play 3-4-3. This would become 5-3-2 in defending. I cant imagine why Andres D'allesandro cannot make an argentina side since like forever. He is the best potential left sided midfeilder we have and is so creative (that is also a problem position). I need to know if there is a riff with him or something.
Rationale for 3-4-3:
Argentina are blessed with some big and quality central defenders, hence, the decision to play 3 centrals. We also have great central midfielders who can pass, shoot and not to mention, tackle and go forward and thats all we would need from them. At the moment, D'allessandro is in good stead for world cup 2010 as is Maxi, so they coould play on the left and right respectively. And then we could have a front three with pure pace. I'm sure about Aguero and messi, whether we should look for anotoher striker with more height and body or go with Tevez needs to be looked at.
Players that should always be selected til 2010 are:
Daniel Diaz, Burdisso, Gonzalo Rodriguez, Colloccini, Militto, Messi, Aguero, Tevez, mascherano, Gago, Di'allesandro, lucho, maxi Rodriguez, Ustari and Carrizo. We have some great young talents coming up who needs time to prove themselves so we can look out for them. Does anyone know how i cold get this email writing to Basille or the Argentine Federation. I need to see them win a worldcup before i am no more. I also need to knowl if i'm the only one who agrees with this.

I will not entertain arguing with you anymore. My philosophy remains the same. I am not Ali. This is my Last personal response to you.

>>>You know my point of view>>>

Actually I don't know your point of view, Ken.
I know you criticize Basile endlessly, but I don't know what is your idea of what would work.
I don't even recall you ever given us a possible formation.
You talk more about "provoking" and making people think, then about football, remember?.
Or was that Ali?

Albo,

I did follow Argentina back then. Most precisely, Bielsa now as Chile coach will throw all those long balls and the rest you can anticipate.

We are watching the same game but looking at it from different perspective. You know my point of view. I am not going to reiterate it because I will become an old rewinding tape. Instead, I will patiently wait for us to lose the big games and then offer my point of view. Argentina greats such as Bilardo and Diego Maradona have recently touched on that subject recently. On our blog here, Maxilopez has written extensively about it.

Messay,

If you get a chance you should have a look at what Messi stated in his own words after he was shut out in CL against Liverpool. I am also a great fan of Messi but I am concern whether he will around in 2010. In my mind right he is THE world player of the year given his current form. But I am a firm believer that modern football is all about collective effort, not individual success.

Perhaps the latest example is Marta from Brasil in the recent women wc held in China. She is extremely talented and can even do a "roulette" a la Zidane. But in the final she fizzled simply because the Germans shut her off. She was so shaken that she could not even shoot a penalty.

I really really really really still have a hard time chewing on the Idea that Arbeola stopped Messi against Liverpool. I mean, come on. The kid broke his foot and was pretty much rushed back from injury. He was out for 3 months prior to that.

second, Messi didnt Play BAD. Barca hardly played, because Liverpool was so great at dirupting the plays. Messi was still more of a threat than ronaldinho in those games.

When he is FIT. Let alone Arbeole, not even Canavaro & Roberto Carlos together could stop him. I mean seriously could anybody mention to me a game Where Messi had a bad game, outside of this liverpool game?

The only other game Messi wasnt (i will use my words carefully) "as INFLUENTIAL" in a game, was against Brazil in the friendly (where he was hacked all the time, and used WRONGLY BY BASILE). even in the Copa final he played okay. Even when he was getting hacked. He should have scored the goal. sadly it was called an offside.

ALl basile has to do, is give messi all the room in the world as a free floater from the right side of the field like he does with barca.

Ken, I understand what you are saying.
Now I want to ask you this:
Were you an argie fan 6 years ago?
At the risk of sounding repetitive, I'll remind you that back in 2001, under Bielsa, we were beating everybody and their mother, included a 3-1 to Brazil at Monumental, (since I see Brazil has you especially worried).
We got to WC02 as the "hands down" winner" bet.
And what happened?

I think you were not an albiceleste fan back then.
Otherwise you would remember it all the time, and you wouldn't say certain things you say now.
It is my opinion, you didn't experience all that.
You think that having good results right now will change the meaning of things?. Like better or worse team?...
I respect that.
We 're just not watching the same game.
I believe that Argentina is 2 or 3 players away from becoming a team for the ages.
Saludos
