Couldn't agree more regarding Tevez Skywalker.

A result is a result but theres no planning for 2010. A player like Il Capitano & Inter great like the sadly gone Fachetti could one day wake up & find his legs are gone .

It happens .Then where will be ? I'd prefer Maidana to have a go down this flank though he is again more of a CB with Monzon developing nicely down the other flank.

Garay & Gonzalo or Dimi in the centre with Fazio as a nicely developing stand in.

Nicolas Navarro is doing well at Napoli & deserves consideration for the number three goalkeeping spot.

Regarding FC the two Fernandos at Liverpool ? I don't see how it could benefit him having to be reserve for Torres .He would not take Keanes role or Kuyt.

Besides with this financial crunch Liverpool are in a precarious situation off the pitch. However a move to Spain or Italy ie Inter would do well to buy him as a born finisher.

Or Arsenal. Considering the number of chances they create & style they play it would suit Cavegol & he is far superior to Adebayor & Bendtner. I am surprised Wenger still has not gone for di Maria or someone like FC with his intelligent forward play & lethal finishing.

It is true & I am sure FC realises that sadly Girondins despite being one of the foremost clubs in France is not where he will gain international honours.

Chau amigos.

PS The refereeing on Saturday was unsurprising. The level of South American officials needs a serious looking at.

It doesn't matter who the opponent is but the truth is this that Tevez is not getting more chances of playing in ManUtd. Berbatov and Rooney are 1st choice for Fergi. Ya, Tevez is good player than Rooney but we must not forget that Rooney is an English player thats why he is always in starting 11. And thats why I say that he was good in Boca than in Man Utd.
Basile must have to find a replacement for Roman

This whole notion that Tevez has dipped b/c he's gone to England is just flat out absurd. The aspects of his game that have improved are quite staggering yet people equate goals / gambettas / running into the box with flair as the underlying reason why a player has gotten better / worse.

Simply put, Tevez has been used out of position ever since he left Brazil save for the short period of time during the end of his West Ham career where he was finally used as a in the hole striker (Zamora was the #9). Tevez is not the man to lead the line, never has in his playing days and never will due to his physical stature. Look back and see when Tevez was productive against top opposition, you will see he had someone else to front the backline, and that in turn allowed Tevez to bridge the gap between the MF and #9; and run at defences with abandon and produce results.

Ever since Messi came on the scene, Tevez has not been used properly in Argentina. Man U had Rooney and Ronaldo so Tevez was playing out of position. Yes it is a negative aspect to his game but people who say that he's gotten worse fail to look at the overall scheme of things. He does his best work in the final 1/3rd and he hasn't had that chance to have someone supply him the balls and have a shield in the form of a 9.

As stupid as this sounds, for Argentina only, I don't mind Tevez as a #8. His biggest problem is that every time he wears the NT shirt, he feels the need to score 2 goals a game and go back to being Boca Tevez. If Lucho is not going to play, rather than Ledesma or some other 30+ Boca stiff, I'd rather see Tevez next to Roman. It will remove the pressure of Tevez to score goals for the NT and allow us to have another offensive player in the MF who can pass with the best, provide options for Roman, play the tango (1, 2s), burst into the box when necessary, provide support for the strikers and most importantly, be defensively responsible to scale back. I really can see it work despite the fact Tevez might protest to playing there. If you think about it, Tevez's passing is never called into question. and if he can be the one to support Roman and then put a through ball into a Messi / Di Maria run, we might have something on our hands here.

My hope against Chile is that we win by two or three goals to nil. But having said that before when we played Ecuador and Peru, any win will do.

MaxiLopez, my apology on the comment. That was type error from me. He is aging and Coco should consider Zabaleta as his replacement now rather than later.

Tevez was fantastic before his European career. My concern for him is that he might not be a starter for Man Utd. Fergie seems to be more interested in partnering Berbatov and Rooney.

Hahaha DEBASISH. Well, it's better to laugh than cry about a Diaz -> Milito substitution! This could really happen, though.

I would hate to see us play 4-3-1-2. We don't have Maxi to complete the system with Di Maria. But Basile will always surprise us.

I was thinking about Battaglia who was the 65th player to be involved in the team for one single game and then was completely forgotten for at least 1 year. The players must be lost. Every Argentinean can apply for a sub role, it's amazing. Even old Palermo in his arm chair is presently dreaming about WC in Africa.

I read about a different line up somewhere today. The only change is Di Maria in place of Aguero. More like a 4-3-3.

It was printed like

Carrizo; Zanetti,Burdisso,Demichelis,Heinze;Mascherano,Cambiasso,Ledesma;Messi,Milito,Di Maria.

I will see if I can find the link again.

I completely agree todd with you. Messi is the creative loner.

He will try to do all sorts of things, get frustrated and try to do everything by himself and everyone over here will start criticizing him as a "selfish dribbler".

Milito will stand all alone in the Chile penalty box and chase balls amongst 4 Chile defenders rest of the time. He will get tired and get subbed by Daniel Diaz and we all will say he is not up for NT. Basile will dump him and go for Licha or Cavenaghi and the poor guys will have a same fate.

But what else can we expect, with the selection of the roster we have shot ourselves in our foot.

Hope Ledesma has a great game and we get a goal early in the game. We MUST NOT stop playing after a great phase of 15 minutes. Messi is in a good goal scoring phase and might sneak in one again.

The defense is scary again. What to say. Lets hope 2 goals like Uruguay and come up with a labored win again. I will be VERY HAPPY :)
