i feel bad when some people came up to mention the name of ronaldo as the best player in the world. the truth is you can not compare sleep and death, or the sun and the moon. kaka is the best player in the world and these i can proove each time ronaldo play a game with any big team. messi is even better than ronaldo, but ronaldo is better playing for country and against smaller teams

now a day ronaldo is the best player in the world.kaka is the second best and van nistelrooy is the thried .i think that fifa made mistkes.

Ronaldo is the best, to score 23 goals from a RIGHT WING position is unbelievable. Central midfielders can, and are expected to score that much from the middle (gerrard, ronaldinho, lampard) but from right wing, nobody can except for ronaldo.

If messi came to the premiership i personally don’t think he would be able to hack it and wouldnt do as well as he is doing in spain, his game is more suited to spanish football because their style of play is a little softer and a little slower and he isnt the strongest so it suits him. Ronaldo would make any team in the world without question, he should win world player of the year he deserves it.

What is all the talk about Messi? He hasn’t won jack! He’s one dementional; plays on the right and has no right foot–where is his heading game? Oh, I forgot that he scored one memorable goal by taking the ball from the center line. Wow! It is ludicrous to rate him over C. Ronaldo! Look at the gifts Ronaldo possesses: he can attack from both sides, uses both feet equally well, has a strong heading game, has blazing speed, scored all those goals from a difficult position, opens up space for his team mates because he requires double coverage, and he can also play down the middle or as a striker…how can people think Messi does more than that?

Hey I think that u guys haven’t watch soccer 4 a very long time… I think that kaka didn’t deserve being the player of the year but what can we do…. ok ok, one second please, Rooney?? he should not be mentioned in any comments or posts, he is not even close to being compared with Ronaldo, Kaka, Messi or others. He is not a good striker yet, let alone being the best in the world. The guy goes on goal droughts for 3 years! Now let me talk a little about who deserved to win it. First, i wanna say, im a die hard Milan fan, but I have respect for other players, and i cannot see how almost all of you forgot to put Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The guy is pure class, amazing player, he should at least be mentioned. When it comes to the best player in the world, I think its a two horse race, between Kaka, and C. Ronaldo. Messi is not there YET! I will tell you why I think it should be Kaka, because look at what he has done. The guy has won the Champions League, and the club World Cup, you cannot say he doesnt deserve it. He has the speed to blow by you, he can take you one on one, and he can score, ohhh and he can set you up, especially if your Inzaghi, and you always know where to be. Ronaldo on the other hand is a great player, but he is too much! Does to many tricks, tries to many stuff, and plays in a league where defense, is not the same as in Italy or Spain. Opponents do not focus their attention on stopping Ronaldo, as they would do in Italy or Spain, where they would have two players stop Kaka or another player. I think Kaka would flourish in the EPL, but i wouldnt be so sure that Ronaldo would do the same in Serie A, but thats just my opinion.

Christiano Ronaldo is by far the best player in world, he can play on the left, right or forward positions, and is equally adept in all those positions, very strong with both feet, good in the air, blistering pace, his tricks are not only nice to watch, but effective too, add to that his free kicks, spot kicks and corners, the only reason he doesn’t take corners is because of the threat he poses in the box, with his height and heading ability.

He is leading premiership goal scorer so far with 26, Torres (who is a striker) is in second place with 21.

If you think anyone is better, then please explain?

I don’t think C Ronaldo’s strength is just fancy footwork + physical. Although much of his game does rely on speed. But he’s got in slashing passes, the perfect crosses, etc…
Thing is, he’s a winger, who is very strong in set-pieces and is dicovering his potential in scoring goals. Which is getting stronger and stronger.
But he is a winger, that’s where he’s really the best.
Messi is a “meia”, right? By nature his instinct is towards goal. And he has loads of talent…
Currently Cristiano Ronaldo is in better form and really improving all his potential but Messi has everything to top the world in the future. Messi just has to do something with his hairstyle…

I’m portuguese but also a big fan of Messi.

I must say, though, I find that Messi also had to do a lot less than C Ronaldo to immediatelly get attention and to be in the top for the pundits, that C Ronaldo had to prove himslef 10 times as much, always with brutal criticism for this or that, sometimes for nothing. I wonder how Messi would have dealt with all the shit CR had to put up in England, after WC06, and after 2 years be where he is right now.

C Ronaldo is the best player in the world. He has the better physical attributes, he can play in any attacking positions. Some believe its his fancy footwork that makes him the best player in the world, in that case quaresma should be the best. Its his end product, the ability to score all types of goals, his vision and passing. Look through a whole man utd game and see how many clever through balls he plays. He has produced in the big games so far except one. Kaka is amazing, but has only produced in the champions league to any extent. Messi is also amazing, but I believe even at his (meesi’s) peak (if he fulfills his potential), ronaldo at his best will still be the better player purely due to his height and strength.
