Who can beat us?

June 6th, 2006 | By: Jonathan | 52 Comments »

Speaking of beating, I thought you might enjoy this little pic. Who else but my very own MOM sent it to me… The blue and white blood runs deep my friends.

Anywho, back to the subject at hand, everyone and their dog has picked Brazil to win the whole shebang, but we know better.
Nobody can stop us when we’re playing our best, but which team scares you the most?

Who is the only team that you are hoping we don’t have to face?

Lord knows it’s NOT Croatia…

I din’t care! to be the champs we must beat all of them.
Brazil, England, Mexico, Germany, whoever.
The least imaginable squad can put you in trouble.
Remeber 1998, The french needed all the 120 minutes to beat paraguay and they trashed Brazil in the final.

Once again people are being to sensititve. Of course we should not fear anyone and know that we can beat any other team but certainly there are some teams that that might present special challenges. The beauty of our team is that we have the players and different line ups that can negate some of those things. Brasil has the most talent of any team that we will face but I feel that we match up fine with them and in fact they are a good match up with a slow center forward and some weak defenders. The worst match up is Italy because they most resemble our team with few weaknesses and maybe a better defense. That is the team that I worry most about. Having said that if Messi is at full throttle we have a player that can change the game more so than any player they have. Go Argentina! Go Messi! and finally fans it time to be a fan and cheer these guys on. We will all have time to critisize after the games if we want but lets get behind our team!!!!!!!!

We must remember that the 32 teams in the World Cup got their by qualifying, not by default. Granted there are some confederations that are more notable for the quality of teams in them i.e. CONEMBOL vs CONCACAF, but this doesn’t deter from the fact that there are good players on virtualy all teams in the cup. And it only takes a moment of greatness from one opposing teams player to destroy you hopes of progressing to the next round. With that said I think Argentina, like any other team, will have to play the best 7 games of there lives, IN A ROW, to be able to hold the cup at the end and proclaim themselves champions! Therefore Argentina should be weary, but not scared, of any team they will face. As someone put it earlier, the team they will have to be scared loosing to is themselves.

Bye the way, does anyone know where I can find a wallpaper of the Argentine team…? Thanks

Good find Saswata!

Glad to see our team is still training and more importantly… not getting hurt.

Pekerman is doing the right thing by playing our own U-20 boys.

They know not to go in with hard tackles.

YEEHAW!! Nice…I forgot about the word cup there for a second, lol. nice asses. I bet that the nice argentian butts team should be the real argentian team, I’d watch them and I wouldnt care if they beat croatia or not…lol

back to the topic, now if I was argentianian, whow would I be scared to face?? Thats hard one, I belive argentina does better when they play hard teams like brazil, or france because they soo much harder..but I think that teams like serbia, and the ukrain a are bigger threats because their style is very different from he argentianina style..

WORLD CUP IS COMING UP SOON!!!! I CANT WAIT, I WONT BE ABLE TO SLEEP ON THE 8th It will be like Im a LITTLE BOY WAITING TO GO TO My FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!!!

Aregntina is the best team in the world. Brazil only wins because they’re bigger and faster but Argentina has the most skills. This year we got some really good runners so I think the Brazilians should start praying.

As long as they don’t get too over-confident Argentina should do OK

Remember the opening game of Argentina 1982 (with Maradona)

Ok I take back what I said about macherano. This Mexico game turned out to be little more exciting than what I wanted it to be. My heart was pounding so loud during xtra time, I could hear it.

My bet on World Cup

[...] Brazil will defeat Germany in the finals with a small 2:1. I said that a few days ago and I’m still pretty sure. … What do you think? [...]
