The Good, The Bad, The Ugly…
Good:
Ayala: Played like a lion…Hoping he can last 4 years
Sorin: Another lion. Great Captain
Maxi: Argentina’s most valuable player
The Forwards: Not sure they were used in optimal formation when it counted. Not bringing on Messi for Crespo
is, in retrospect, the worst call of all time. Otherwise, they were respectable, save Cruz’ dismal performance
Coloccini: After the disaster of Scaloni and himself somewhat of a last resort - He played brilliantly vs Germany.
Bad:
Pekerman had done a reasonable job until about minute 60 of Germany where he became 100% responsible for the loss.
As has been mentioned (and as was obvious vs Ivory Coast) Argentina is not at its best when it turtles. If Aimar & Messi
had been brought on to regain our dominance in posession (could you ask for 2 better players to do it?) - I have NO DOUBT
Argentina would have won.
Facile as it is to blame a referee: When at the edge of our box there is an extremely dangerous free kick given with NO CONTACT,
and minutes later there is a 100% FACTUAL penalty commited on Maxi unwhistled….Well, one really begins to wonder…
Abbondanzieri…Until today, El Pato greatly exceeded my expectations…However, he better have broken ribs or internal bleeding
to have taken from the team the option to bring in Messi, or whomever later on…The Cruz decision by Pekerman exponentially
magnified the problem
The Ugly
To all the Brazilians who have never been here before, but today choose to come and make ugly comments. I guess the fact that you’re
here reveals the bottom feeding nature of your character. Granted, this Brazilian team (save Ronaldinho) is a bunch of fat-assed
dinosaurs, but I would have never guessed the amount of fear & venom for Argentina. Today was the REAL final between the two best teams, and you certainly know that. Thankfully, we can look forward to decades of dominance given the total superiority of Argentina’s young players. As for now…Vive Le France!

where are the mighty barzilians now???… the french are wondering that too….

Try to forget that there was a ruckus after the match.
Did you enjoy watching Argentina play? DId you enjoy the relaxed way Riquelme handles the ball, the cheeky footwork, the fiery argentinian football spirit.
Sure they were not so sporty after the match, but they are great footballers. I think the Germans may have antagonised them slightly. I know that Lehrmann is a big headed big mouthed twat who also mouthed off England. So, it isn’t surprising that the Argies got a little peeved and I wouldnt have put it past the Germans for having said something racist against the Argentinians, which triggered the fuss.

“So, maybe next time you better shut up.”

JR,
I will explain you for the second time, maybe this time you will understand it, otherwise get a telecommunications training.
I am not spanish, I am argentinien and living in Spain, that is why the little flag under my words shows the spanish flag. This is because my pc is identified as physically being in Spain.
Same as yours.
Now please continue saying that you are in Palermo Viejo (which is by the way mi neighbourhood).
So I can’t tell you how it feels losing against France. Maybe you can help me to understand it?

I think JR is an UFO temporarly being in Poland as a member of political group named “Selfdefence”. Like every member of it he knows everything and he can do everything. So it’s miracle but it’s truth - he is in Palermo Viejo at the moment ![]()

Fat ass Brazil is out
This could have been seen from the second game played by Brazil. Only the commentators were putting a nice face on the old/worn out/rich enough first string of the Brazilean team.
Now we have a final with German mechanics who it must be admitted are working hard to TRY to be champions.

I have a question to all argentinians here?
why do you think everyone hates you? Brazilians, British, Germans, Americans, French?
Taka a wild guess why, but don’t tell me it is a big conspiracy against you, just look inside you, and maybe have a better look at your idols (fat ass Maradona for example)

maybe cos they wish they had players like argentina. or cos argentina whooped their ass. or well maybe the french n german wish they were as good looking as the argentinians.

footbol-fan,
There are many fair posts from argentinians in this blog. Try to read ALL the comments and take your conclusions based on that.
And how come you know that everybody hates us? Have you spoken to ALL people from those countries?
or you are just reading the comments of the few people that is writing in this same blog? (if this is the case, let me tell you that I have not found a single negative comment from a french, but anyway).
In my opinion, but maybe I’m wrong, you are generalising a little bit in all parties (argentinians and the rest of the countries).

Futbol Fan:
Because we’re better than everyone else?
JR:
You’ve now taken the lead as the ugliest, dumbest sorry sack of shit to have ever posted here…You are the very definition of ugly American. If you are in Argentina you’re in fine position to be devoured by the karmic rebate you deserve.
Brazilians:
Two shots on goal? Oh my word…Zidane and Henri made you look like schoolchildren. No overtime? No shootout? Another karmic rebate for the way you all behaved after Argentina lost. I’d say of the last 8, maybe your seventh, though that’s somewhat unfair to Ukraine. As an Argentine, I’m thinking we’ll hand our rivalry with you over to the Mexicans…who are probably more than you can handle.

Hi Rain,
can’t speak for hole germany, but I’m sure they don’t hate you too
It’s funny to see how this game can raise our mood, one thing for sure: we all share the “Leidenschaft” (passion).
Where ever footbol-fan got his opinion from - he did’t ask me…
Having read some of your posts you seem to be a very nice person!
Heads up Argentina

I’m in ‘Chermany’ at the moment and still disgusted by the catcalls, the flag wrapped louts parading in the neighborhood, the shouts of ‘Deutchland! Deutchland’! For crying out loud people you barely won…and barely is the most fitting word here. Winning a game on penalty kicks is barely winning. Germany got extremely lucky…Pekerman committed a fatal mistake using that jerk of a goalie. I could have done a better job.
The Brazilians are pathetic! Crying in their beers and hugging tight papier mache cup replicas! Why do they think that Brazil ought to win again and again. Ronaldo looked pitiful, fat and bloated not lean and fit as a football player OUGHT to look.
As for the racist jerks calling others ‘Spics’….hey dumbo you’ll get very angry if I were to use the word reserved for the likes of you, but I won’t because I will not descend to your very low level. One thing though, I’m waiting with glee the game between Chermany and Italy, let’s see if your luck will hold this time, huh!

MIGEN, you piece of brit turd. So the Argentinians suck at war? What about your countrymen’s bravura against innocent civilians in Iraq and Afghanistan? and I’m not even going to touch on your sorry history because I’m sure you’re as ignorant of it as you so clearly indicate in your post here.
The truth is that Brits suck and not only at Football! You’re the most hated group around the world. The British Louts are despised by every country or person who’s ever had the bad luck to encounter them. You’re also the fattest of all the Europeans, and if you don’t believe me just visit La Costa del Sol where all of you cheapskates visit on a 3 days for one Euro type of vacation. But back to the subject at hand here: Fantastic display of sportmanship by your team, chap! WOW that Rooney lout really surpassed himself and all of the louts and he managed to do it in fron of the cameras of almost every country in the world, while your Captain cried and feigned an ankle injury, an injury not in evidence the next day. BTW, why is that greaser sporting an Elvis do now? and the WAGS….oh please, bitte, por favor! So they’re supposed to take the attention away from the players? Which players? Why didn’t you parade the bitches in the field after Rooney kick the balls of another player? It would have, somehow, managed to divert the attention from his behavior and red card.
You brits are assholes and shitty players, and you’re always blaming others.

Hi Delia,
if you feel uncomfortable with cheering krauts, ehm crowds - a worldcup may be the wrong place for you.
But thank god, there are other areas in germany for you to discover!

I’m 100% sure, that if Pablo Aimar had played instead of Riquelme, the Argentinians were in regular time the winners.

Tom, I think Germany the most beautiful and civilized country in the entire fucking planet! However…I don’t like the shitty nationalism exhibited by so many here during this cup. There’s something really creepy when you see a German wrapped in a flag, especially a young one. They sauntered, and looked at you as if daring you to say something or even smirk.
I longed for a paint ball machine the night they ‘won’ by a penalty kick against Argentina. Too late now, but I took the pleasure of hanging a huge Argentine flag from my widow’s tower, the whole town saw it just to let them know that not everyone is a German here.
BTW I also found it less than nice the fact that they forgot they were the hosts. When visitors come to your home you don’t rub their noses on your flag or repeat to them over and over the fact that they are in your home and that you’re their host. Fuck it, I’m glad this whole debacle is over, and I’m plenty sad that the ‘Eyetalians’ won, they don’t deserve the Cup or anything else until they learn a few other things about the world.
