what are you talking about lad. In terms of international form, Sorin is one fo the best around. with him and mash in the team no one will get an inch. however, i do find him funny becuase he starts at left back, but when the ball reaches the opponent penalty area hes always there challenging for the ball. The man desperate to score.

Tim why do you think he is overrated I want to hear. I never hear about the guy at all in the media or anything. I think hes a needed player for Argentina. The guy never stops running and battles for every ball. He is somebody that will help a team with a Riquelme.

Experiment Pekerman. Put aimar and riquelme on together to prove this theory against croatia. If it doesnt work no big deal revert back to the one playmaker system, but to tell you the truth it does sound tantalising on paper. Also i think sorin is overated, but possibly the best left wingback argentina currently have

I agree with the comment about riquelme or aimar but not both playing together. Its got to be one or the other but five midfielders needed across the middle with sorin and zanetti as wing backs. Demichelis is another good player to take with his defensive abilities.

I think Aimar cant play with Riquelme together.It very simple,Argentina often play with 4 midfielders.Zanetti and Sorin are in 2 wings,Riquelme is the playmaker.So we need 1 midfielder who has the excellent defence-abiliti to support the defenders.Macherano,Cambiasso or Demichelis are the best candidates, definitely better than Aimar.Or will Aimar be played as a forward?That isn’t a good idea.Aimar should be used as a substitution.

I agree completely with Alan that is wat is so tough about Pekermans job right now. What is the right combination of players that will give us the most possibilities for winning. On paper it looks easy just like way back when people said why didnt we start Crespo and Bati – that would be impossible since they both play the same style of futbol. Other countries are stressing the lack of talent but Pekerman is stressing the abundance of talent and who to choose

Apparently, rumours flying around that fergie sent scouts to observe him further and is apparently goin to make a bid for him in the summer. This is a rumour anyhow but it shouldnt distract us from the fact that he is a sublime passer of the ball. The only thing that worries me is that we are over relying on one player and the weight of expectations will hinder him during the group games. I hope he performs but rightly so he needs another skillful passer alongside him to really set the world cup on fire and argentina have plenty in abundance. Argentina have the players, no doubt- more so in attack than in defence to win the world cup. Its all down to Pekerman to find that blend of players that will gel together.
