Patience… Only 6 Days

May 9th, 2006 | By: Nick | 94 Comments »

Over the past few days many stories and rumours have surfaced… some of which have caused uproar in the Argentine press as well as the fans.

Pekerman made a statement today to clear things up:

He stated that the players he called for the convention near Madrid are close to being selected for the national squad, but that nothing is predetermined, emphasizing that many of them would play a part in the final list.

Pekerman also explained the reason for the amount of absent players who are potential candidates for the national team, “many of them had important sport commitments and matches to attend,” he said. Mascherano, Tévez, Zanetti and Samuel, all had league games, and Pablito had an important sporting event.

Another thing which he mentioned was the absence of Aimar.

“There are no personal problems between myself and Aimar,” he believed, which suggests the possibility of the player still being included.

Surprisingly, he referred to Aguero: “I cannot say more about him, besides the fact that he is excellent, and has a superb ability to decide the outcomes of a match.”

Overall, Pekerman recognized the reunion of the 14 players had proved very useful.

There are six days left, and there seems to be little doubts with the confident National coach, except for possible injuries, and the possible concern over the physical conditions of the players.

All will be decided on May 15th.

” don’t see why people are complaining. I still prefer Zanetti and Samuel of course but if Scalloni plays like this, I won’t be too worried. ”

Dude were we watching the SAME game? Sure he is creative and can create chances but his primary role is defense, and he sucks at it. He couldn’t hold Cisse and Cisse isn’t as good as some of the CIV players.

I hate Pekershit, just wait and see what happens to that fool if Argentina don’t make it out of that 1st round. They say he is under alot of pressure, but what pressure. It doesn’t take pressure to take Zanetti over Scaloni, it’s a no-brainer. I think this guy is nuts and should be sacked.

aimar may only play 20 minutes of each game

but he is the only other play maker
around of high quality

so what happens if riquelme gets injured during the world cup?

It’s a shame, having the best talent in the whole world and still unable to solve these not so difficult decisions on which players to take. I love watching Argentina play when they are on their game, they play a beautiful game unlike any other national team i’ve seen. But to replace Zanetti and Samuel, and experiment with less than average players, oh I don’t know. There must be something going on here, and I don’t like it.

Too bad Pekershit is illiterate, or else he would have read this blog and made better decisions.

Well I posted that message before the second half so I wouldn’t have to post later.. ha. I guess I spoke too soon, Scalloni didn’t play that well the second half. He’s ok for a sub, but Perkman should pick Zanetti and/or Samuel for defense..they have way more experience and skill… Either way, I still believe we can win the cup easy with or without these players.

OK, last comment before the official anouncement:

We have Zanetti and Samuel at 2002, but no better result.

So, if they were not picked up, it’s a pity, but only a pity.

just to loosen the tension of every one.. i crossed by a predicting tool and i tried to see all the possibilities of argentina progressing to the final rounds….you know….we might meet england in the quarters and brazil/italy in the semies if we end up second in the group…if we are first we’ll end up meeting germany in the quarters and if we pass which seems a more difficult game since it is on thier country we’ll meet france in the semies and most probablt brazil in the final….

check out guys and tell me how did your predictions went….

Fucking Pekerman!! Now, every hope has gone. Zanetti has been left out. Samuel too. I would love it if someone shot Pekerman. Scaloni is a fucking joke!! And a bad one! I`m gonna cry for a week. Even if Argentina wins the WC, I will never forgive Pekerman. Zanetti does not deserve to be treated like this. Pekerman is digging his own grave. Fuck you, Pekerman. I hope you burn in Hell!

haha.. que locura, bueno no importa, tendra sus racones.. esperemos que sen buenas!
It doesn’t matter at the end of the day.. it’s just one player, and I am sure Pekerman would not pick him if he knew he was that bad.. Pekerman has probably been watching videos of him play over the past 2 months and he probably thinks hes just the player for the team because he fits in the right role.
However not including Zanetti and Samuel is really bullshit. Just have to wait and see now.

and chill on the language please :)

One more thing.. Zanetti and Samuel played in the last 2 cups and lost. Pekerman’s wants nothing more than to win the cup for Argentina.. it’s his reputation at stake, I think we should trust him and see how Argentina plays.

If Pekerman has been really watching videos of Scaloni then HE WOULD NEVER HAD EVEM MENTIONNED HIS FUCKREN NAME.

assuming of course that Pekerman is sane. But this is not the case….

Palacio is on the list….fuck man. I want Cruz. Palacio has not proven himslef. WTF is pekershit thinking ?

i’m sure Perkerman will always start by
GK:
Abbondanzieri
DF:
( Coloccini-Ayala–Heinze)
MF:
( Riqulmé, cambiasso and Mascherano )
FW:
Messi, Crespo

no question about Heinze Riqulmé, cambiasso ! ! they will be always there in any formation i’m sure he likes them ! !
but tell me playing with a Libro ( sorin ) is nont useless ????i think he will make the team weak , he has no fixed place! ! but he is the captain , , ,why him ?
