Figueroa Injured and Out of World Cup

Luciano Figueroa has sustained an injury that is going to keep him out of the World Cup. He damaged ligaments in his left knee in River Plate’s victory over Estudiantes. The injury will keep him off the field for up to six months.

I’m kind of bummed about this even though we have plenty of strikers. Figueroa has looked pretty good for the Albiceleste scoring 8 goals in 15 games and he might have been a nice late game sub for Pekerman.

Some people gonna be cheering here including argentina supporters because they dont think hes good enough.
I feel sorry for him. Hes got good goalscoring stats for argentina and gives a hundred percent in a match. He said as well the reason he came to river was to consolidate his position in the argentine squad. He hasnt been able to pull it off in the big match yet but you feel he deserves to go to Germany. Hes young enough yet so he will be able to come back in the nest cup.

Everyone i believe would agree hez better then a couple of strikers names being touted on this blog.You never know he might make it. Its always a blag to say he’ll be out for this length of time and all of a sudden he training again.

Majority do agree what i say here but their will always be doubters.
