Coincidence or not?

Isnt it a little odd that once again Argentina draws the hardest group but that Germany and Brazil draw the easiest. What about World Cup 2002 Korea making it to the 3rd place game which I find rather fishy since they are terrible? Oh and yeah the world cup was held in Korea, what a great story I bet. How about USA and Spain getting robbed in front of the whole world last world cup?

It is becoming a little strange and some have started talking about it. Or if we take it off the international level and bring it to the club level. How about Liverpool scoring 3 goals on one of the best defensive teams in the world AC Milan in one half? Or how about in the same game the best forward in the world misses 2 yards in front of the goalie or wait how about his penalty nice and soft straight to the keeper at least baggio hit it over the bar? O yea how about that Roberto Baggio one of the best players of his time sends the ball to the upper deck of the stadium and it just so happens to give Brazil another world cup. FISHY? What about later on Liverpool losing to Sao Paolo in the club championships after 3 of there goals were taken away? Is soccer turning into Boxing?

And if this is all really a setup why does fifa hate Argentina so much. Is it because that the best player that ever played this game was from Argentina and is not such a good role model because he doesnt make stadium appearances and wave his hand to the crowd like Pele? Or maybe the Argentina colors dont sell like the yellow colors. Or what if its those cool nike checks that are so much better than the Adidas 3 stripe? Maybe its because Brazil soccer looks pretty?

What do you think? I am going to love to watch closely World Cup 2006 see what Fifa does this time.

I think Argentina’s 2002 woes began when Javier Saviola (my favorite Championship Manager player) wasn’t picked to accompany the team. Any idea if he’ll be on this year’s team?

He will be on the team but if he is a starter or a bench warmer is yet to be decided because of the amount of forwards Argentina has. Crespo is a lock in to be a starter. Messi and Tevez both proved that they are big time players (Messi a lot more than Tevez). Saviola is a great talent but I think Pekerman is going to be pressured to start Messi and depending if Argentina comes out in the traditional 4-4-2 formation or 4-3-3 or 3-5-1 will determine how much we see of Saviola.

Are you American or Argentinean? I understand that you love the idea of Brazil paying to win games. I only don’t understand why England, Spain and Italy, coutries that are 1000% richer than Brazil can’t be champions in your conspiracy theory.

The selling colours, the “not” offsided Liverpool, the 3 stripes, strange lights in the sky… I can’t wait to read more of your interesting points of view. Mainly I want to read the opinions about them.

My opinion? Argentina is paying cosmic karma because of 1978’s results. You can read all about this issue in this address:

Let the best team win!

its a fix clearly argentina get the group of death twice in a row and anyone can see how easy it was to select witch ball came out for picking when the groups were picked its clearly a fix fiffa and the world media allways do all they can to holt argentinas progress its jelousy there the best and it aint liked brasil are the sony playstation of football over hyped and a good revanue earner for the main stream media culture we live in today were as argentina are the nintendo of football clearly the best at what they do but deblibratly egnored and slandered by ignorant mainstream foke who dont know any better people that say pele was the best are just saying what there told to say and believe by mainstream media please for gods sake try being honest maradona was worth 10 peles that is fact ….infact i wouldnt put pele in the all time top 10….allso if you look brasils record at all levels in all competitions against argentinas record at all levels in all competitions its clear argentina are the greatest footy nation on earth only the world cup its self brasil have done better but thats expected when fiffa is biased and even changes the rules at times to acomidate brasils way of doing things take a look at 86 world cup when maradona lifts cup everyone appords except fiffa president who happens to be brasilian sums up the bad loser attatude of a brasilian argentina have won the last 3 south american leagues for the last 3 world cups and league are harder to win than cups they battered brasil in the chase for points and were clear at the top its been like that for years now argentina have to follow it up and acually win the world cup this time 2006 and close the gap with brasil i think peckerman has been very experimental with the side and that needs to stop we need 3-5-2 with the same starting 11 that wupped brasil 3-1 in wc qols but i would change killy for messi….. masorano is the best holding mf player iv seen in years he is like koy rean and simione and redondo all rolled into one fingers crossed the nocks that saviola ayala and henzie all have clear up before the finals

traditional 442 argentina traditiopnal formation is 3-5-2 with a 3-6-1 defencive and a 3-3-2-2 attacking formation….but the best possesion and out and out attacking football iv ever seen in my life was the 3-4-3 played under balasie it was magical top watch in the last cuppa americas and olympics godnows how argentina failed to win cuppa it was the gods helping brasil very poor brasil i might add in the final and the elbo on ayalas face allowing andriano to score was somehow over looked by the ref it was clearly a very bad and delibate foul and moments after he scored the linesman ran on the pitch to say foul and back up ayalas complaint but the ref didnt see it that way then the camara picks up fifas president and guess what he was standing near brasils hug out laffing his head off please if that does not have fix all over it then you are blind

I think we all have to believe these things aren’t fixed. That the balls were heated-up so Pele would draw Netherlands - conceivable, conceivable. That when Argentina loses to Germany in the ‘90 Final - bullshit penalty, conceivable. As for the rest - there’s good luck, bad luck, and subtle manipulations. I’m hoping these factors line-up favorably this time around.

I admitted that it was a fix because I am not blinded by what i am supposed to believe. There is no way that you can blow a call like the one the refs blew on Maradonas hand of God but its not Maradonas fault its Fifa. Open your eyes if anything that has happened in the last couple years hasnt made you suspicious you are Blind.

So athenes u believe the 78 was fixed but than after that all the sudden they became straight shooters in fifa. you make a great point…nooot.

I’m not sure to have understand your post Kris but anyway that’s not the point that I want to make now.
Admitting the eventualy theory of conspiracy against Argentina and the fact than your group is actualy the toughest of all. Why do you should care Kris ? Are you not as I perceived in your comments one of the best team in the world if not the best ? So you should not complain about the difficulty of your group and beat the 3 outsiders represent by Ivory Coast, Serbia-Montenegro and Netherlands to show to the rest of the world than Argentina is in Germany to win the world cup.
Argentina va salir campeon…Argentina va salir campeon!(cool video by the way from the God of Sunday as the napolitans fans were calling him)

Well if you did read my posts than you should note that i plainly say that Argentina is one of the best teams and should win there first round group BUT (there is a but) the second round is a much different story when you have to sweat the first round. People fail to realize that the world cup is partly endurance too bcuz of the closeness of the games. What i am saying is if you get stuck with Australia, Japan, and Croatia lets say out of random chance good luck your not going to be as exhausted for the rest of the competition. Fresh Legs is nice to have.
