Blog Rules – Please Read
Ok all, I’m seeing some far too much disrespect and trolling going on in the comments section, so much that I’m writing a post on it to set the record straight. This blog and the comments are for the users of this site; they are the ones that make this blog as successful as it is. If you are here to fuck around, you are not wanted. So from now on we will be imposing the following rules:
1. NO MORE TROLLING: This is a blog about football in Argentina. That covers the national team, La Primera, and Argentine players in other leagues. While it is acceptable to discuss a team from say, Europe, that features a certain player, it is not acceptable to go on and on about a club that has nothing to do with what his blog is about. If you want to discuss a European team, take it somewhere else.
2. DO NOT USE ANOTHER POSTER’S NAME: Use your own, or make one up, but under no circumstances should you pretend to comment as someone else. Doing so will get you blocked indefinetely. And don’t think that just by changing your email we don’t know who it is.
3. NO PERSONAL ATTACKS: Debating is part of the fun of the game, and I know simetimes passions run high. But taunting and any kind of name calling is stupid and wrong. Do it and you will be blocked. If someone attacks you, don’t take the bait; let me know and we here at The Offside will deal with it.
4. FINALLY, NO MORE FUCKING TROLLS: There, I said it again.
I know that this only applies to a few people, so please don’t think that this is meant to be an accusation of all who come here regularly. In the past I’ve tried to avoid censoring people, but things have gotten out of hand lately. Basta de esta mierda!

Vamos Diego Placente

So it looks like Messi’s going to the Olympics! I’m very happy. But. man what a s##t storm’s been released on sites like Mundo Deportivo (cule’s and arg are doing the Internet equivalent of scratching each other’s eyes out.) But if Barcelona have a problem with foreign players leaving, then they should probably not depend so much on them.

Alexa you summarised the points concisely in your post yesterday.
And the point applies to a tournament for example the African Cup Of Nations where clubs are reluctant to let their players go & the G14 moaning that it should be scheduled for the European summer when playing it is impractable.
The G14 are the heart of the problem. At every turn their aim is turn themselves if they have not already into global corporations who constantly obfuscate FIFA & UEFA trying to alter the goalposts so that effectively they acheive an unhealthy dominance in football.
If such clubs want to avoid these disputes then don’t sign ‘foreigners’ & raise yiour own instead of cradle snatching across the globe.
Kids from all over the world as young as six are being watched by these clubs & if they fail the grade , they get very little support.
Messi is Barca at present .He is the cash cow. He is the one wh has attracted a new set of supporters with clubs like Barca desperate for a slice of the American markets both North & South.
They have been shamelessly brazen in trying to use the hormone treatment episode as a means of getting Messi to tow the Laporta line.
If Messi has any sense after the way he has been treated the next time transfer negotiations come up he should ask for a move away either to serie A or the EPL.

I will not begin to celebrate yet……Laporta said yesterday that Barca would appeal again to the TAS…..I think this is a disgrace!

Messi has spoken and said he will leave for the Olympics and not wait for Barcelonas appeal. I beleive that he handled this with honor and skill no one can be mad at him on either side. he gave barcelona their chance while stating the whole time that he wanted to go to the Olympics. he was able to get in a nice preseason with the new barcelona coach and teamates and now it is off to win a gold medal . Vamos Argentina.

Messi quotes before the decision.
I am waiting to see what FIFA says and, if it says I don’t have to go, I won’t go,” Messi was quoted as saying on Barcelona’s Web site before the ruling. “If it says I have to go, I will go without awaiting the decision of the CAS, because that would be too long for my teammates and squad management to have to wait.”
Messi added he would return to Barcelona if CAS then ruled in its favor.
“Barcelona continues with its stance of not wanting to let me go and I understand it,” Messi said. “But I also think they have to understand that my dream is to take part in the Olympic Games with the national team.”

Thanx Christian, i hope that those bloggers take note.
Messi is finally on his way, but for how long?
Aurelius, you and Alexa summed it up nicely. The top clubs have too much money and power.
I used to like Barca, but now as far as i’m concerned they are real shits.

Is this the best you could do Christian?
That;s too bad.
You had enough elements to block our usual trolls already.
We all know who they are.
falta huevo aquí.
