That video was recorded in the dressing room of the Azteca Stadium minutes after the 2-1 againt England in WC 86. Maradona, who is being congratulated by Grondona and others can be heard saying it’s not only me, it’s everybody!.(Todos!)
His selfless endorsement today of Messi as the player who will take the post further sheds light on this most generous aspect of his personality.
