Argentina End of the Year Awards

May 8th, 2007 | By: WC Bob | 145 Comments »

Since you wonderful Argentina crazies have filled the last thread with great comments, here is a new one to keep the discussion rolling without having to scroll down forever. The topic suggestion comes from ToddUtah. He writes:

“My new thread would be which Argentine had the greatest year. lets give out some end of season awards to the Argys. like best player, most improved, best scorer, best defender etc? That might be a good thread.”

So, time to give out some awards. I’ve taken the liberty to add a few more and you are more than welcome to do the same.

1. Best player in 2006-07
2. Most improved player
3. Best scorer
4. Best defender
5. Best player under 23
6. Best player over 30
7. Greatest Argentina memory from the past year
8. Most disappointing player/moment

Have fun and thanks as always for being such an awesome community.

–Bob

Of course its a free country and everybody is destined to make an opinion…but be rational..u had your chance and you said what u felt…but rather than intellectually proving the point made(which most of the others do here in this blog) why are you trying so disparately over a point that many dont even argue upon…Yes! KAKA is a great player…even half of more than that of the contributors here agrees that…also the fact remains that he is the most efficient counter attacking player…no one even argues on that…Now if you are saying Ayala is bad becoz of the one goal he let Drogba scored, or Milito for his performance over the past one season(the best in La liga) I say you are madman…blind and you are here just to spread hatred amongst everybody….You are no different than those extremists who sees only one tunnel of vision for all their issues.

And last, I have a name and you can call me that….

Fucking Brazilians get out of here you fucking losers you have no life just coming in here to mess everything up. In the final between Milan and Liverpool Mascherano is going to shout down Kaka and Sissoko is going to destroy kaka and in the copa america when we win you guys are going to be bitching about that your players weren’t in the squad because they were to tired. Just like all the other brazilians Lazy as hell. Quit being a bunch of little bitches, up Messi wants to play both in the Copa America and U -20 world cup, while kaka is a big baby and wants this summer off so he can get fat like ronaldo.

What is it with these people?
Is this what they’re all about?
the “freedom of speech” thing?
I just looked in the Brazilian blog and they have had 14 comments since February, most of them related to Dunga’s shirt…

We treat brazilian football much better that they do and we have to put up with this crap, Bob. These people are NOT brazilian.
They’re just scam with erectile disfunction…

Alright, you have a point..
it’s not that i can’t PROVE my point intellectually, it’s just that i enjoy Teasing you and make fun of you though i look rather silly and sometimes an Asshole…
but do you know why Anand (sorry to call you india :-) i was just teasing )
do you know why i am doing this?!
it’s cuz you are even worse than me… you overrate yourself to the piont that some1 starts feeling sorry for you.. really..
argentina HASN’T won a THING for 20 years and you still talk like you are top of the world.
last year in the WC one of you Publicly declared his WISHES that brazil would go out of the world cup why? this is crazy.. really…

then i say to you, in the past 20 years we won 2 world cups… lost in a final.. and we are BY FAR the best soccer nation in History… and you can’t take that i excuse you just don’t say fuckin crap about us…
argentina moved to the top of the FIFA rankink and one started bitchin about BRAZIL ON THE DECLINE… BRAZIL ON THE DECLINE… come on
we all know it’s a stupid ranking anyway, and keep in mind we have been leading forever…
for your information your beloved argentina is now 3rd after brazil in the may ranking you see… i still think it’s stupid ranking…
and recently the funny MESSAY posted a who is the best? article and it was MAD funny that he excluded kaka as a candidate just because kaka ( BECAUSE OF HIS MODESTY ) said that messay and cristiao are the best… though messi chased him the whole length of the field before he scored one of the most beautiful goals in the history of the arg-bra matches.. but kaka was UNLIKE you argentinas he was modest…
HOW DARE YOU COMPARE KAKA TO ANYONE THIS YEAR… YOU HAVE WITNESSED WHAT HE DID THIS YEAR… ESPECIALLY YOU ARGENTINAS.. YOU SEEN WHAT HE DID TO YOU IN THAT FRIENDLY.. AND TO MANU AND THEIR DEFENSIVE SPECIALIST HIENZE…
but again after that friendly someone came out with the idea that arg could have won 6-3…!!!
YOU ARE FUCKEN ARROGANT..BIASED.. OVERRATED… YOU WILL NEVER WIN ANYTHING AS LONG AS YOU ARE LIKE THAT..
you have to start respecting others so others can start respect you…

Ali.

you want to know why we have no comments over the brazilian blog… it’s simply because we care about BUSINESS…
unlike you argentinas we DON’T TALK
we DO… so till the WC 2010 we will keep quite and say nothing.. except when we play you and beat you up..
and yes we will whip dungas ass if he by any means wear funny shrits like that one..

Ali,

You are the arrogant one here saying brazil is better then argentina that we suck and that your country( a country you don’t even live in) is better.

Kaka isn’t the best player in the world right now. Its Cristiano Ronaldo Inter Milan a team with a lot of argentineans won Serie A. Even though A.C milan got deducted 8 it won’t have made a differnce.

The reason we say the brazil era is on the decline is because we have tons of new prodigies. Like every month a big club in europe has a “new messi” or a “new maradona” In Real Madrid a 19 year old kid replaced one of you best ever, Ronaldo and don’t say because he is really old he is only 30.
Brazil only has teo good young players Alexandre Pato and Lucas.

Argentina perhaps always has had better youth than Brazil’s. But once they cross 20, every single “New Maradona” sucks.

Who knew Ronaldinho before he was 22? Who knew Robinho before he was 20? Who knew Rivaldo? Who knew Romario?

But look at your “new Maradona”s. Saviola is a perfect example who you guys tagged as New Maradona, and has never been considered as a top playet. Ortega, Veron, Augero, Aimar??? They all are a meagre shadow of their own self. They all failed at once they were out of Buenos Aires.

Messi is certainly among the top 5 right now, but its too early. I want to see him live upto the new Maradona tag even after 20.

Tevez is a good one too. But lacks the skill that Messi, Ronaldo, Ronaldinho or Kaka have. But he is one that can make difference.

Brazilians start thriving after 20, while Argentines start withering after 20. You guys have a good kids team, and we have the best professionals’ team

Diego Maradonna was the Worlds best Football player or Soccer to ignorant People who follow that retarded term.
And I hope Argentina can produce a new Maradonna. Pele was good but Maradonna was the king. As for Beckham dont make me laugh ZZZZZZZZZZZZ.
