Angola Friendly - What do you want to see?

May 28th, 2006 | By: WC Bob | 57 Comments »

Now that you have all made me feel better about Messi’s health (Thanks!), let’s look ahead to the friendly against Angola on Tuesday. This is basically the last chance we get to see the team before the World Cup. What do you want to get out of this match? Should Pekerman field the strongest team and try to make a statement with a big win or should he just use it as a chance for the guys to stretch their legs against a different opponent that plays a bit like Ivory Coast?

What do you think? What do you hope to get out of this game?

You might want it, but there is a chance you won’t get it. You are undoubtfuly the favourites to win the match, but by 4-0? there are not to many teams that qualify for the world cup and lose by such a big amount, even if it is against Angola. Confidence is a key to winning, but it can definately break your moral when you are Over Confident, and expect too much of your team. I would be satisfied with a win and a good organised Argentina, that will not give away unnecesary ball possesion, or goals. If Argentina play well, i would not worry about anything. Cheers

all i want to see that our team play very very tactic game, i feel we need to work on our defense coz in the last 2 games we were ahead and gave the game away .. i wanna see that this is cured and fixed in our back line ,, i want argentina to score first or Angola score and i wanna see how the team will work together to overcome being behind or making sure to keep a very clean net .. i really dont mind to loose by one goal if it will keep us more alert,, i really dont want to see a huge score for argentina i dont want our player to be over confident,, Ivory Coast are not Angola too much confident might hurt us in addition i wanna see how Treviz Crespo and Palacio could play together as a team ,,its import to be sure we can play without Messi

All I want to see in the game is a goal by Lionel Scaloni. Then, we will know we are on the right track.

Go Argentina Go !!!!!!

Argentina will win this game at least 3-0, with goals from Messi, Teves, and possibly Crespo. I’m glad Pekerman is going with a younger team, it’s about time. If Argentina begins to gel in the first round and makes it to the second round in good shape, which I really thimk they will, watch out, los gauchos will be tough to beat and could go all the way for their third title.

Hey wamdiego,

I’m not worried about your Maradona comments because everyone knows your just jealous because Francia will never (never !!!) produce a player like Maradona or Pele, or even Distefano or Jarzinho. Zidane was a good player but several levels below the two all time greats, and everyone knows that aparently except you bud ! Keep trying, you’ll learn.

all i want to see is everyone finish the game healthy..

i don’t care in the least about friendlies… before 86 argentina played like crap in the friendlies and it mattered not.

friendlies, as brazil realized a long time ago, are a complete waste of time….

the only thing that matters is what pekerman wants…..only he knows… i will not even bother watching the angola match….

What I want to see is… the game itself! There’s no p2p-channel that broadcasts it? :(

I hope Argentina will win convincingly and stay injury free. 3-0 or 3-1 would be nice.

Im sorry to disappoint but Argentina will not win anywhere near 5 or 4-0. The argentinians are playing “a weak team” in their opinion but the Angolans are playing a strong team and will take the match seriously. Be prepared for surprises

cheoregon :
SHUT UP , I would break your mouth man ! Dont write about me what I did not write! I’m the first Maradona’s FAN, everybody call me “diego” I love Maradonna I’m just disapointed by his behaviour. Moreover don’t compare pelé to Diego (pelé sucks) and I don’t care about you, don’t talk about my country.
There is no relationship with French football who is better than yours 100 times, so don’t talk about Platini and Zidane who fuck the players from your motherfucking country.
Just think before to make slandering and charges.

Keep it friendly guy’s. Its just a game of football. and whoever you find the best player, is in your opinion. It has no use to argue about eachothers opinions, because they are there to be free minded. So, now thats sorted, keep it friendly. Kickoff is in about 10 days, and im sure evryone is looking forward to it. And indeed, friendly’s dont matter, it is about what you produce on the field at the time.

I read this too. I don’t remember where. Milan and Italians want everybody. I think they could take Tevez if they don’t get Drogba. But all this exists only in order to sell papers…
