Is anyone going to be watching the argentina croatia match tonight? Not sure if it is available to watch in uk live, but dont matter.
Anyone who does get to watch please tell us about the game and if anyone stands out.

Pablo aimar is too sick. Put him in a centre attacking position and you've got free scoring midfielder, providing assists. Why doesnt the current coach stick with this fella. Has he got a grudge against him. Come to think of it, he should be included in team alongside riquelme, but at the expense of who? The last game he played was against brazil wasnt it, in the confederations final, scoring a great diving header.

Im getting a mixed response. Some are saying Aimar cant play with Riquelme and others are saying he can. Me personally I would put both at the same time and if things arent working out I take one out but you have to go with your best players for this Cup we cant afford another 1st round exit with the talent produced from Argentina

Aimar and Riquelme have played together, and have great chemistry in Midfield. Riquelme is slow and divert attention and players to one side of midfield and then threads great passes with sheer genius. Aimar on the other hand, crosses, shoots, dribbles and is good for a fast paces game. The game will be ridiculously good for ARG, if Riquelme on one hand can slow the game and create chances out of nothing, while Pablo can run wild in right midfield, behind Messi.

Central Midfield would ofcourse have to belong to Cambiasso or Mascherano - the horse of the team that goes around challending every single ball - a Makele os sorts.

A fantastic talent and very skillful. All i can say to Pekerman is throw him in for the start of the match against croatia or the very least, the upcoming friendly after then. He has played riquelme as a regular in his team and i think he should let aimar take centre stage from the start. Let him weave his magic, and take argentina to glory. I dont think i will be able to take it well if argentina dont make sufficient progress and if he is underused again in this world cup like last time. Its CRIMINAL to leave him on the bench and then to bring him on when we are trailing, leavin him to pick up the pieces. Hez almost at the peak of his career and should be the main cog of argentinas engine.
I dont think you can play both riquelme and aimar together. It could be experimented if it hasnt before but i dont think it will work. Its time for Pekerman to bite the bullet. I havnt got nothing against riquelme an exceptional player. Hes got to decide the best player that can create chances for our strikers whilst notching the odd goal for themselves. Use him for more than 20 mins in a friendly is all i ask of pekerman. AIMAR FOR ARGENTINA.

Aimar came mighty close last week to producing the goal of (this) century. Not sure it was appropriately noticed...but he pulled down a laser of a ball from over his shoulder, dribbled through 2 and then uncorked a very luckily stopped ball...If it had gone in - we'd be seeing the replay for years...The guy's hitting his schwerve...
